This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Lab handles information when you use our free browser-based PDF toolkit at https://pdflab.act-wise.com. We collect no personal data of any kind — all file processing occurs entirely within your browser and no files are ever transmitted to our servers.
PDF Lab does not upload, store, or process your files on any server. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any third-party data collection services. No personally identifiable information, usage data, or behavioral data is collected, retained, or shared with any party.
PDF Lab may use your browser's localStorage solely to remember your in-app preferences (such as theme or last-used tool). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data. We do not set or read any cookies.
PDF Lab loads the open-source libraries pdf-lib and PDF.js from the cdnjs.cloudflare.com content delivery network, and may load fonts from Google Fonts. These requests are made directly by your browser and are subject to the respective privacy policies of Cloudflare and Google. We recommend reviewing those policies if you have concerns about CDN-level request logging.
PDF Lab is designed to be fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy frameworks by virtue of collecting no personal data. We store the following in localStorage: pdflab_cookie_consent (your consent choice), a11y_fontsize, a11y_hc, a11y_dyslexia, a11y_links (accessibility preferences). No personal data is stored.
We load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) and PDF processing libraries from Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). These services may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies.
